These extension cables are optional; the factory radio already includes them, but they are shorter and limit the relocation of the XM module. We recommend purchasing them to allow for more flexibility during installation.

Excellent product - I wanted to keep my satellite radio with Apple car play without the high end replacement third party products from pioneer and Alpine that cost thousands. This works perfectly keeping my original Tundra radio and factory look. I ordered the extended sat radio cable for $21 which made it easier to install the sat radio module up underneath the dash out of the way. If you want to keep the factory radio look with Apple car play with your original Sirius XM, I recommend this product.

this is a good way to upgrade from the old system to add carplay.
My radio already had these connectors, I was under the impression they were required to the Carplay unit to work with the satalite radio.
