Great product workings good quick wireless connection with factory head unit
Installation of this unit was not to difficult. Modification of base unit was a little tricky as instructions missed minor details. There was a hidden screw for detaching the screen, and the ribbon cables were tight with the satellite module left in place. The instructions total missed the option to leave XM unit on and the connection of wires. Unit fit back into dash but is extremely packed tight. Operation seems good but I still need time to live with it on a daily bases to judge. All radio functions work as to stock head unit.
This unit is the gold standard of Android Auto/Car play adapters according to ToyotaNation. Is uses a direct connect to the car's LCD display preserving resolution over the RCA style connections used in the less expensive units. The RCA connection will provide low VGA connection vs the HD display with this unit. This requires some fairly detailed connection procedures between the factory head and this adapter.
According to ToyotaNation the installation support and upgrade support is very response via email. Be sure to get the correct version for your factory head unit - there is a procedure to determine if it is Panasonic or Pioneer (car on, hold audio button on radio and turn headlights on/off 3 time) then goto the subscreen for version.
